New Toy

Went to G-Ville (NC) for the gun show and to visit my son. The show was pretty lame. I did go to Doc's and they had 10 times the guns that were at the show. That place is amazing. He gave me a trade price on a P-12 .45 that I had been trying to sell/trade and after that I was like a kid in a candy shop. I backed away from a TDE Pasadena Automag since I wanted to stay married. He had a lot of 1911's which is what I was looking for until this little fellow caught my eye. I've always wanted a Python. I like the feel of the grips but not so sure I like the looks. Anywhoo, it made the ride back home with me.

Ihave a 6" blued python, never been in a holster, only put 100 ronds of .357 through it.My buddy used to reload .357 brass at .38 + p pressure. I'm going to sell it,bought it new in'81 for about $400 out the door.

A truly great weapon! I didn't like the factory grips at all, though. These grips look like they'll shoot much better.

You now have one of the best revolvers made. I like the grips on yours and have a couple of pythons they would look good on. Want to swap for a set of Pachmayrs black rubber grips?

excellent handgun, as long as you don't try to hot rod it. If you handload, keep your loads very close to factory spec., otherwise the pythons have a history of loosing time. Nice purchase though.

I guess I have to pass. The admiral likes the grips. Gotta love that girl.

I was tickled to get the trade that I did. It was a Para Ordnance P-12 that I've had for about 10 years but it kept jamming. Call Para if you want a good example of non-customer service. I even told him about the jamming and he still made it real easy to trade up. nakedmadman, thanks for the heads up but all I ever re-load is shotgun. I can make a 2-3 grain mistake on a .12 gauge target shell and not have to worry.

As I mentioned above, Doc's has TDE Pasadena Automag for sale, if you have $2,700 laying around.
