Rimfire Conversion kit...
With centerfire ammo prices on a continual rise, my last 50 round box of 230gr .45 ammo gave me sticker shock, so last week I bought a Kimber Rimfire conversion kit from Sportsman Warehouse for my Rock Island Armory 1911. After a day or two of stoning and sanding here and there, it began to function as designed. According to Kimber, I must use hi velocity .22 ammo, but at $16 for a brick of 525 rounds, I can handle that.
I practice at an indoor range each week.
