Picked up a new toy at the gun show...
a few weeks back.
Saiga 1.62 with a 16" barrel. $249 out the door. Guys and Gals, I gotta tell ya, it's a lot of fun for the price.
Essentially it's an AK minus the pistol grip and a modified fire control mech that is suppose to make it next to impossible to mod for full auto.
Hoot to shoot, iron sights are pretty good, put a cheap 3/9x42 scope on it and getting good groupings at 100 yrds. I'm more of a shotgun guy, but it was fun, cheap and will serve it's purpose if I ever want to go sit in the woods and wait for Bambi.....

Nice piece...and at a DAMN good price. I've never seen one that cheap, NEVER! Those are good shooting guns.
I picked up a Romanian AK-47 (clone) this past weekend for $360.00 and felt I got a great deal. I've already replaced the wooden furniture on mine with Tapco (what my buddy calls) plastic lawn furniture.
You need to go out on YouTube and watch some of the buys shooting/bumping their AR's. Example.. You'd think they're full auto but not.
AND be sure and buy lots of ammo. I think that's how the Democrats are planning to enforce gun control....no ammo. My opinion..!!!

Amen brother, I picked up 1,000 rounds of Golden Tiger 7.62x39 at the show for $175. I wish I had picked up 2,000 rounds.

Wow just a few years ago 1000 rounds was $89.00. The price went way up. I haven't bought any in a long time.

Man, Vindex, you really need to get out more. If I'd seen 1000 for $180.00 I'd a picked up 2000-3000 rounds myself. Cheapest I've seen it is at J&G Sales for around $190.00 a 1000 PLUS shipping.

That was at J&Gs I drove up there. I'm thinking about 5 years ago. I have over 20 military rifles and only one is 7.62X39 and I buy in bulk for all of them. One purchase lasts a long time. I bought 7.62X54R at 39.00 for 440 rounds. I bought 3 of those and now look at the price. 73.26 for 440. I only bought 1500 founds of 7.62X39 and wish I had more. Now on to 8mm Mauser and 30-06.
I get out plenty I just buy in bulk when I do.

Looking at the price of 7.62 x 39 today, I'm glad I stocked up years ago. I used to get 1440 round tins for 79 bucks.

Key words: Used to....
AND I'm sorry but I really think that's how they are going to try and force some kind of gun control. The second amendment gives you the right to bare arms it doesn't however guarantee you that you can buy ammunition for 'em.

I gave 420.00 for my Ruger Mini-30, new. Now I'm showing my age.
And as far as gun control, I'm the guy in control of my firearms.

Yes that is really SAD...
Two years ago I purchased 7000 rds for mine at $76/1000 so I still have some left.
It is not just 7.62x39 it is EVERYTHING... that is out of site
