Kel-Tec P3AT and PF9
I have the P32 and am familiar with the 380 and 9mm models.
I have not shot either of the last 2.
I'm interested to know how much either of them "kicks" due to their light weight.
Wife likes to shoot as well and likes the 32 and my 92FS Beretta.
Any other info on these 2 models would be appreciated.

I really like my P3AT. Here is some reading for you.

They do snap your hand but it's nothing that bad. I've put many 100s of rounds without any problems. Best CCW hot weather carry guy I've seen.

Vindex:
Thanks for the thread, it pretty much answere my questions.
I think I'd like the P3AT over the PF9, at least for carrying.
Although, it's not huge it's just quite a bit bigger.
That's pretty good shooting for that little gun at that distance.
Our max distance here for CCW is 7yds. Maybe that's standard.

It is a pretty amazing pistol for the size and price.

I'll 2nd everything Vindex has said. Like my P3AT. Wife likes her P32 better though. Just easier on her hand.

Just got back from the range about 45 minutes ago. I thought it closed at 8 so I showed up at 6:40, In 20 minutes I shot 440 rounds between my Kel-tec p3at and glock 40 and 9mm and springfield 22. It was crazy fast!!

We have 2 P3AT's and they go EVERYWHERE. That alone was the reason we bought them. They are quite reliable and shoot well with quick 6 shot reloads. I have a lot of trouble with the snap when target shooting so I wear a glove most of the time. In a real world situation I wouldn't have a glove on but don't expect that to be much of an issue if not shooting as much as when I target practice. I still carry my 2" snub .357 a lot but the P3AT is there too.
Note, Ruger is now making a true rival to the P3AT so you have another choice in virtually the same size, shape, power, etc.

The Hogue Handall Jr. rubber grip I put on mine helped night and day. I had to wrap the pistol handle in electrical tape real tight and put spots of glue on then slipped the grip on. Tight fit and it's not going anywhere. Well worth the trouble.

I just looked at the Ruger LCP .380 (due out in 3/08). Wow, talk about a copy job.

Maybe even the same weapon with a few cosmetic tweaks? Dimensions are virtually identical.

That's what amazes me about this. Lots of guns look a lot alike. Yet very little seems to be mentioned about copyright type infringement. If Chevy came out with a new model and it looked 99% like the new Mustang wouldn't we assume Ford would be all over that? What I've read is the new Ruger has "internal" parts differences that are significant enough to not be a copy problem. But there are a lot of Harley "clones" and the motor company hasn't been able to squelch them so who knows?
