CCW Vest for Summer riding

I have been looking at vests from Foxcreek, Coronadoleathers and Loveleathers as a Summer CCW riding vest for a Colt Commander.
Would like to hear from those of you with experience with these or other products. Is the snap in carry better or worse than the pockets?
Who likes or dislikes what they got?

Welcome Mr. Duece. If you introduce yourself up top, folks will probably answer you kindly.

My favorite type of jacket or vest interior pocket is the snap type that enters from the side rather than the top. I don't know if a Colt Commander will fit in one but snubs and .380s do; usually.

Agree with WeinerDogBone, why don't you jump over and introduce yourself.

My next question is why is somebody from BC would be asking about CCW ???? Thought the big Canadian Government thumb didn't allow you guys to own any kind of weapon much less carry something concealed.

I'm confused Ethel...

Thanks for the Welcome

Thanks Vindex1963 for the welcome. Yes, I jumped the gun without an introduction. Have done that now and again thanks for the welcome.

This is a great forum!

Ethel, To answer your question regarding CCW, I was able to attain a Utah CCW last year through a day course put on here locally in British Columbia. I find it admirable that certain States will recognize a law bidding Canadian as being responsible to carry yet the Canadian Government will not. In Canada CCW is given to Judges, Bodyguards and Criminals. Socialism does not spell greater freedoms for all. Unfortunately, I was born on this side of the line. I do envy my family born in the US. I have been a target shooter and collector since I was 16 and enjoy plinking at the local gun club as that is the only place pistol shooters are allowed to target shoot. I'm more than happy to fill the permit coffers of the Utah State for the privilege to carry.

Hope that I can find a comfortable vest to carry my Commander.

I like your attitude dirtydeuce. You're more American than most Americans. I also enjoy CCW here in AZ and don't leave home without it.

If you don't get an answer here try this place.

Hope you find the info you need.

Now to answer the question for suggestions. I personally carry my 1911 or G30 inside the waist band and wear a jean vest most of the time. When I'm riding the vest works well also. During the summer with shorts I wear a lot of Hawaiian shirts so I can leave the tail out. On occasion just a plain tshirt and I have never had a problem with printing.

As Vindex said never leave home without it...

Strick28, do you carry IWB with or without holster? If holstered, which one do you use? I usually carry IWB without a holster, but I think I would like to get an IWB holster. Any recommendations? Thanks.
