The problem is... the only thing I've ever known about BB guns is, the BB's went in one end, you cocked it, then it came out the other... what can I say, I was a kid.
Going to Bass Pro shop and seeing what they had was a huge eye-opener, and basically told me I knew nothing about these things.
Can anyone shed any more information on the subject?

I have a RWS air rifle .177 that shoots a pellet at 1000FPS. Beeman and RWS (German) make top quality Air rifles, the most expensive and the heaviest. Some of the lesser expensive German air rifles are made in Spain and other countries. European quality seems to be most reliable.
Pellet size range from .177, .20 to .22. Spring cock and CO2 gas charge is available. If you decide on a scope for your air rifle, you will need a scope designed for air rifle use. Pellets come in all shapes and sizes. There is a special cleaning kit, lubricants and cleaning rod for air rifles. This you will need!
Google Beeman and RWS to see what's available. Also Google a review site for consumers who own air rifles. Try to avoid buying a Chinese air rifle unless finances dictate otherwise. Some air rifles made in China are junk and will soon break.
Be advised that many communities have restrictions on outdoor air rifle use within the city or town limits. So if you plan on shooting indoor, get a quality "Pellet Trap" for your target to save wear and tear on your walls.
