Ohio Bike Week
Looking for some reviews of this Rally.
A bunch of us are riding from New Hampshire to OBW.
We usually goto Myrtle Beach, but would prefer an area that is not shrouded in political BS. I digress
Any insight from those who attend would be great.
We are staying at the Super 8 North next to the HD Dealer.
Thanks
Bry

lots of traffic, both bikes and cedar point traffic in sandusky. be sure to come down to norwalk to see the ahdra. top fuel is outstanding, and all the rich kids who own dealerships with there sportsman bikes. i'll be down there winning the money!!

I have went to Ohio Bike week the last three years and had a great time. The block party downtown is awesome, events at the fairgrounds are great and so are the events at Roeders HD in Sandusky and Monroeville. The hotel you are booked at is nice. Stayed there last year. It is next to Roeders and Shifters bar and grill. Shifters has a band every night and also has good food and cold beer. We are staying at a campgound in Milan this year. I cant wait until June. I always have fun at this event. I think you will too.

Thanks for all the replies..we're looking forward to it. I am going to miss going to the Party known as Myrtle Beach Bike week, however I am not interested in the political crap.
So a change of venue was needed.
Event Requirements:
Good riding
Events (concerts, drags,etc)
Bars
Are what we wanted so OBW seemed like a good match.
Plus we can get there in 1 day.

Just found out that Candlebox is the "Nationa;" Act that is playing on Sat. the 6th and that Roeder HD has a foreclosure suit against them.....
Could this be my first and Last trip to OBW?

If it's the one at Rt. 250 and Rt. 6, it's ok, and pretty good location. I stayed there before.

First I heard anything about them being in financial trouble. Always put on a good party, I know that much. They have 3 dealerships around Sandusky!

OBW has grown so much that it funded by the community now. You have to thank Roeders for getting it started though. Roeders had put alot of time and money in it in the beginning. I just can't believe the dealership will be closed at that time. Rumors are that someone will take it over. The kick start party at Shifters is always a great time. I imagine there won't be any fireworks this time which Roeders funded, I could be wrong. Between Shifters, Fairgrounds (Broken Spoke), and the Block party, there is plenty to do. Nice rides along the lake, and the AHDRA races in Norwalk (20-25 miles) are always a good time. Super 8 motel is in a good location next to Shifters. Also roughly 5-10 other hotels within 5 miles. And you can stay at Kalihari resort which is just down the road about three miles south of Super 8 if wanting a pricier room but very nice .
Loud pipes and ape hangers aren't an issue.
Also check out Margaritaville Patio (best margaritas around) in Sandusky, Bel Mels in Port Clinton (great pizza),Mon Ami in Catawba (winery and outdoor bar), I5's Bar and Grill in Huron.

Their website says just the Monroevill Store will be closed but all the events there are still as planned. The Sandusky Dealership is still open. Shouldn't make any difference to the event. The Monroeville dealership was very small but a great place for stagaing all the bikes and the party, and that hasn't changed.
