Heading To Min-wis-mic

I'm heading on a road trip May 23-Jun 5 from Missoula, MT to Minnesota-Wisconson-Michigan (7,000 miles). I plan to camping/motel/military bases, and sent off for state park permits. I would like your recommendation for what to see while traveling through these states! Have plotted a course on Garmin Map Quest, but looking for additional sites to see. After plotting the new "what to see" I'll plot a new course.

I suggest hwy 13 through northern WI. It goes along lake Supior at times and has some nice views. Be prepared for some quick changing weather and some small towns.

That will get you close to the upper penninsula of MI.

Have both electric heat and rain gear, full helmet, an allot of miles riden in bad weather.
