Detroit area: Keep your eyes open!!

Please keep your eyes open for a 2004ish White Corvette that will most likely have part of its passanger rear quarter panel missing. If seen, please try to get a plate number and report it to the detroit police departmant ASAP by calling 911 or 313 596 1300. Car was a hit and run involved friday august 15th in the morning. Thanks.

Story below:

Here's the latest mod.

Got wiped out on my way to work on woodward Ave (about 3-5 miles north of the stadiums if anyones familiar with detroit) @ Grand Blvd.

I was southbound, doing about 40 mph.. ended up at the white line of the intersection that you are supposed to stop at (I had a green light) when a corvette decided that he was going to make a left turn in front of me. From about 15 feet away @ 40 mph I didnt have a chance, grabbed a fist full of brakes and hit the rears to try to lay it down, my front tire hit his rear tire.

It was about 8:30 in the morning and one of the people that stopped on the scene said that they saw the vette swerving all over (probably drunk or jacked up on something) while heading north on woodward.

I ripped the rear quarter of his car off (fiberglass) and he kept going. One of the people on the scene was a comcast cable worker who was up on the poll. He said the guy stopped about a half mile down the street and got OUT OF HIS CAR and looked at it and took off. His partner jumped in their work van to chase after him to try to get a plate number, but didnt turn anything up. The guy ended up getting on the free way. 2004 Vette > E250 when it comes to the freeway.

As of yet, they haven't found the guy that hit me but I sure hope they do. There are multiple people keeping an eye open for him and if you are in the detroit area, please do the same. It's a white 2004ish corvette, missing part of its passanger rear quarter panel.

Damage: Front tire touching the frame, not sure if its the forks or if it is the frame, either way it is probably junk. Crash bar mangled, saddle bag exploded, bars bent, etc.

I haven't seen the bike since i left the scene in an ambulance.

I passed out when I heard my collar bone break, not sure if it was when i hit the ground or when if I hit the bars, dont remember much after the brakes skidding. Collar bone, 3 ribs, lots of rash and bruises. Possibly my wrist as well, but that is most likely a sprain.

sorry to hear about that. Glad you made it through still breathing. Def keep putting the word out...the more people that know, the better. I'm no where near Detroit so I won't be able to help much in that regard but if he happens to decide to come to VA, and I see him, I'll be on the horn in a second.
