Ohio day trip destinations

As the riding season is getting underway, I thought I'd start a topic about favorite destinations around the buckeye state for day trips.

Beautiful roads? Great small towns with notable attractions or festivals? Parks? Ice cream shops? Places to grab lunch or dinner?


One that is near me is the G&R Tavern in Waldo. They're famous for their fried bologna sandwiches. Note: The last time I was there, they didn't take credit/debit cards.

Sounds like fun... I'm from Chicago and would love to find some cool routes in OH.

head along the South side of the Maume river heading East out of Perrysburg. Stop at a little pizza joint in Grand Rapids, Ohio and maybe an ice cream near by. then ride along the river and farther down the road is a cool looking old barn that looks like it was built a few years ago with a cool old house next to it.
