Eating with a Lake Winnebago View?

A few of us are riding up from the Milwaukee area to Fondulac and around the lake in May some weekend. I rode it yesterday, but couldn't find a place to eat that jumped out at me to stop! There was a drive in on the south edge of Oshkosh, but the group wants to have indoors as an option if it's still cold.

I would like it to be a good view while eating! Any place that wouldn't mind about 8-12 bikes stopping for lunch?

I saw a place called Sandy Bottoms in Fondulac, but it didn't have a single vehicle in the lot. Was right on the lake though. Might have to go back and eat there to see.

Waverly beach is really cool..... if you do this on a Nascar race day... would be fun... also if you do this again in the fall during a packer game.. its really a good time... Great Food.... and on the lake..

Also if you do this in May.. carefull of the Lake flies.. they are really bad around mothers day... I would say june is a great time to do this ride or fall... Have done this ride many times and planning another ride..

Anyone been to Wendt's on the Lake? I have gotten two suggestions for that place so far.

we stopped at a resturant in pipe. that's the town's name. it's on the east shore on the lower half of the lake. the resturant is right on the lake. i don't remember the name of it but the food was good.

That was Jim and Linda's. It's a Supper Club. Opens after 3:30. We are looking for lunch. :-( Never ate there yet, but drove by quite a few times. Wife and I have been exploring that area for a couple years now. Thinking we might want to retire on the East side of the lake.

Looking for lunch more on the West side since a west side going north and East side going south ride makes for the best scenery to me.

Been to Wendts on the Lake many times.. great food.. gravel parking lot... but great place

I know this trip is long gone but Jim and Linda's Lakeview Supper Club has very, very good food! That's our "special occasion" restaraunt!
