I replied to your other post about a dealer in Ohio.

I after going to Wolverine Harley where they had a March special going on talked with a salesman. He said why go to Ohio if you can get it for less here. I gave him the opportunity to give me a good deal and when he found out how much I could get it for somewhere else, said your getting a very good deal there. He did say he'd sell for $200 less than where I'm going but they gave me a good price without haggling and have great service prices as well, so I'll be buying at the dealer that gave me the good deal. Not the guys who would of sold it to me for more.

I'll be buying from the dealer that gave me the good deal first. They've been very good to deal with after the purchase as well and that to me is a true test of where i like to purchase.

Damn! I just posted a reply to your question in the other string Jams referenced!! In a nutshell - I'm in the Detroit area too. FWIW, I'd be looking real hard at Ben Breece... spend the thousands you'll save on the accessories you'll want... er "need..."

So LUBA did you ever find a bike?
Did you try Great Lakes HD in Bay City or Shiawassee HD in Birch Run?
Great Lakes I think has the bikes priced high but have never talked to them looking to buy a new one, just an observation in looking while picking up a part or 2. Maybe you could talk them down.

My in-laws have both bought new from Shiawassee years ago and were treated right.

I have also heard good things about C & S HD dealer in Mt. Pleasant, prices are right and the service is good.

Hacksaw's not kidding, I bought my 97 RK from John and I was actually looking at an 05 (brand new at the time). John said, Hey got this bike in the back just came in still dirty. Next thing you know, John saved me about $9000. I will never get rid of my RK (least that's what the ole lady says).
