We supplied a customer with a set of welded heads with porting along with with a custom ground 62 cam. The bike has a rather poor pipe to produce great low end tq curves. The bike made standard numbers for a stock Jims 120 engine. After the head swap and cam install it came to life. Making 143 tq and 137 hp. In stock form same pipes the power was in the 117 tq range and 122 hp range. Not bad gains really. I do think that with a better pipe that you would see a gain of 6-7 in both tq and hp. Even with no gains a better tq curve would be more fun. Joes cycle repair did the tune for the customer.
Yes I am sure that is a fun ride. Joes did the tune on the bike, and it was up a large amount of the the first tune. Customer I was told is extremely pleased with the new found power.
