End of Victory Motorcycles

Looks like Harley Davidson outlasts yet another competitor. According to the article Polaris has pulled the plug on Victory. I was never a huge Victory fan but they did build a few nice looking bikes IMO. It's sad to see them go due to the loss of jobs but it is what capitalism is about. I would have guessed Victory to be more popular than Indian so we'll have to wait and see what's up there.

I hope Polaris will still carry parts for them. Sad news for all the owners out there.

According to the article ....

Quote:
Polaris says it will assist dealers in liquidating existing inventories while continuing to supply parts for a period of 10 years, along with providing service and warranty coverage to Victory dealers and owners.

Saw this a little while ago.

I'm thinking that management has known that this would happen for quite a while. Like since the first new Indian went on sale.

RIP Victory

Polaris pull the plug on the entire range of Victory Motorcycles and their operations.
Hang on to any parts you have they may have value.

We have some Vic riders here at the forum.

Sorry for them, but I suppose 10 years ain't bad, if they follow through.

I'm very for the loss of jobs, revenue for the dealers but most of all less competition to keep the Motor Company constantly trying to improve the brand.

Well they said they would supply parts for ten years. But they also said the would warranty my new ATV in 2013. I quickly found out they lie a lot.
