Would it fit?

I have seen a couple of newer dyna around that have what looks like a small cafe fairing, kinda. Is anyone familiar with these enough to know if they would mount onto my 85 fxr? Both bikes are narrow glides, not sure if the fork tubes are the same size. Anyone?

Had a similar one on the XL1200 I used to have. It used the same detachable mounting hardware as the removable windshield.

Off topic, but...

while Googling "FXR fairing" I came across a strange looking H-D FXR(with fairing) and had to share.

Corbin makes nose fairings for FXR's:

Also, the FXDXT (Dyna) came from Harley with a small nose fairing. Not sure if it's a bolt-on to your bike.

Fairing on red FXR

Regarding the fairing on the red FXR (Was mine), it's a Arlen Ness fairing and it will only fit with custom brackets (Had a pal of mine make a set for me). To be honest the fairing is a piece of crab.

Another possible fairing is the HD quarter fairing take a look here http://www.hdfxr.dk/public/bikes/fxdx.aspx?PageId=3

BTW I think your 1985 has 35 mm legs, while the dynas have 39 mm legs and the quarter fairing is for 39 mm legs. An idea is to change the front fork to a 39 mm, I did that on the red FXR.
