My 91 FXRT, bought it a few months ago, now sports a wideglide front end cuz the fairing was broken, also bolted in a 6 speed as the tranny was in sad shape, and S&S 113 just cuz I like MoPower, plus have gone thru most of it replacing and servicing things. Going to make a detachable mount for the tourpak so I can use it for long trips. still have quite a bit planned to do to it.

Justintyme--that last photo is beautiful. The body work is in such good shape. Really hard to find these days.
Are you going to re-install the front fairing or will it not fit on the WG forks?
Just thinking about having that motor in that frame----wow. Close to my dream bike.
Thanks for the photos.

Sorry, The fairing looks good in that pic, but the owner dropped it and it has a big crack in it and the inner fairing also.-Hidden by black duct tape behind the signal, plus both the lowers are busted at the bottom where they hook to the frame is busted also. The crash bars protected the bags thanfully, and the tour pack.
One of the reasons i went ahead and put a WG fork on it is cuz I couldnt find a fairing in great condition, w/out spening more than I did on the whole front end set up. Plus its unique this way. Actually as soon as I get done with my wedding this weekend I need to box up the fairing and lowers and shipe them to springer, promised em to him weeks ago as soon as I had the time.
You are right though, the 113, 6 speed, and the FXRT are an awesome combo, cant wait till its broke in more.

Nice paint job, Anaquin. Squaring off the scallops is a nice twist to a familiar old school look. It's also neat that you involved both fenders in the overall look as well.

Thanks, bought it like that. I wouldn't mind the paint too much but can't seem to get into the orange fade

I was wondering about the orange. I finally decided that it was just a glitch in the photo. Is there any on the front fender?
I'd have to see it in person for an opinion about the orange blush areas. Sometimes it seems that painters don't know when to stop. As always, art is a matter of taste and opinion. Whatever--I still like the overall look. Is that light metallic gold against black?

It's a pale yellow, no flakes, over black. The rear fender has the touch of orange like the tank. I think it would look a lot better without the orange, but it is definitely a different look.
