Whats the deal? I can post a picture of my own bike, but I don't have "permission" to see it? Super lame! Don't have "permission" to see anyone elses either. Great, big fun.

Here is my finally finished FXR (i know, i know, who am i kidding, i'll find something else to f with). I just put the Storz front end on it. Its got the 124 S&S with worked heads and cam and new paint job. Looks a tad bit different than the stock bike i bought 15 years ago!

'86 FXR...

Was essentially a stock '86 when I got it a year ago. Since then... - replaced the fuel tank
- added the Police Special speedo and Dash
- designed and manufactured the tach mount
- replaced the bars (4 or 5 times) and added later-model controls
- added the Mikuni-42 (that was a great addition!)
- added the bullet turn signal and mounted them forward
- added the Mustang seat
- added forward controls
- just replaced the stator/voltage regulator
A good, solid, hard-pullin' Ride...

Cherry FXR Tim! Here's some pics of mine when It was getting put together, I need to take some pics now that she is totally done. 39mm Front End, Fox Shox, wires through the bars, completely rewired the whole bike, license plate turn signals work, updated controls, powder coated a bunch of stuff, painted, etc. On Order is Mikuni 42MM, andrews EV27, RB Racing LSR 2-1 (black ceramic coated) Corbin Seat. Thinking about 6" Risers, any recomendations?

My FXR2
Hi Everyone....
I have been a member here for nearly 3 years but don't come over much....
Anyway, I found some of you guys with your FXR's by clicking on search and typing in FXR2. So Here I am posting....the following link below may actually take you to some photos of my bike that are on Harley Tech Talk in MSN. Hopefully it works, I am not a "paying" member and am a bit confused at this moment how everything works here....you know how it is you go to one website and you get use to everything there then you come over to some place new and everything seems awkward......lol
IF you read this "FXR2" I would love to chat with you about your bike.....exchange ideas and thoughts.....feel free to say hello at TIMPREA@Comcast.net if you like.....
Regards everyone.....
The below photos show a couple of projects that I have done on my FXR2 recently.....if they help anyone great....

Regards,
"Classic"

Here's my 85 FXRP after I decided to redo it. I'm not done with the paint yet, I just have to have a black base coat for what I'll be doing to it.

I like those rear shocks, they leave alot of clearance for tearing up the back roads.

That was my thought as well, I'm coming from a Yamaha XJ600, which, while not a crotch rocket, is a great bike on back country roads. While I don't have the desire or the huevos to drag a footpeg on a regular basis, I didn't want to give up the ability to zoom through the curves at my own pace either.
Here are some better pics:
