Threw mine into a ditch about 4 weeks ago. Broke some ribs and twisted my ankle. Had on my fullface or I would'nt be typing this right now. Anyway here is the before and after.

I like it better in phase two. Less Glam Rock and more Hardcore.

Glad to hear you survived that nasty spill, even though you got banged up pretty bad. I broke some ribs in a car accident (from the seat belt) and it really hurt when I would breathe/cough/sneeze/laugh. Plus I didn't sleep well because it hurt when I layed in bed.

I have to say I liked your bike before you changed it, it just looks too plain now.

First post!

Hi all,

I just joined this forum because I saw there was an all-FXR section, and this is my first post. Here is a photo of me riding my 1986 FXR down in Daytona a few weeks ago during Biketoberfest.

I rebuilt it from the frame-up a few years ago out of a rusty FXRT. I will try to find some more detailed pics to post later on.

Nice FXR Champ, it looks like you did a great job rebuilding it.

I posted up pics of mine back along post number 119 or 120 in this thread, but those pics are no longer hosted over there ..... so here's some for your eyes to enjoy

here she sits in my work shop back in 2000. I'm putting on the V&H straight shots, this is the first mods to the bike
EDIT: well, the pipes weren't the 'FIRST' mods, I had already changed out the bars for the first time.

here she is in front of the garrage, we now live in SC
she now has her new corbin saddle ..... this was in Jan/Feb 2008 .... I have over 10K miles on the saddle and have to say I"M LOVING IT !!!!!!!!!!

That's a beautiful bike you have, I love the color of it. A guy I work with has an FXR3 or 4 in orange with chrome mag wheels.

Thanks .....

I wonder, have you noticed if his engine is silver, or black ?

The FXR4 has the silver enginge (as stock) and the others come (stock) with black engines

some of them came stock with mags, but I thought the only stock one in orange (actually they called it Candy Tangerine) was the 4

he coulda had a custom paint job on it
