You got a nice looking bike, I really like that dark cherry metalflake. How do you like those ISO grips? I was thinking about getting a set for mine.

I just realized how low my rear is after comparing it to your bike. I guess you could call mine an ultra Low Rider, lol

thanks, i love the grips especially with the throttle grip. it's the black cherry H-D came out with a few years ago. after the last wreck, they had to order new tins. while it was in the shop, i saw the then new street bob, and i just had them do the tank and emblem like that.
i'd like to put some 11.5"s on the rear, but i still the occasional rider, so i think i'm gonna put 12"s. it's at 13.5" right now

well i would say that this is prob the most accurate picture of the color. if it's cloudy, it looks almost black. the metal flake only shows up it direct sunlight. so at night for sure it looks black. ad the pictures i posted of it at the car show where it looks purple were ones i had messed with the color on. so, it usually looks like this. oh, and that's the Trail of tears memorial in the reflection, if you're at all familiar with that ride and history.

last random post, i promise. here's the plaque at the memorial. if you're not familiar with the trail, it goes from Chattanooga, TN to Waterloo, AL, then eventually up to Oklahoma. We have an annual ride that goes from TN to AL, and it's one of the largest annual rides in the world. i wanna say last year, we had close to 200,000 riders. i could be very wrong, though.

Yeah that's a nice bike indeed, I like the color. Are you gonna give us any info about it?

That's the sticker.
Not sure. the first owner jerked the bar mounted speedo and the guy I got it from put the dash on.
First guy said probably 30k (Which means probably 60) but did top-end rebuild about six months before the next guy bought it, and he only put a little under 6 on it.

Man, I would love to, cause that would mean I know something about.
I have no idea what's inside the cases.
I just know she runs strong, has a slight leak on left front side of the front rocker and another at the O-ring on the primary and the guy who had it last probably never oiled his clutch cable.
Oh and it's blue! And loud as hell. it's two miles to the end of my road and my wife said she could still hear me from the front porch when I pulled onto the highway... But I think she was listening really hard.
I'm just proud to be back on two wheels after going five years afoot or caged.
This is my first FXR. and my first early evo. lots changed between these and my 99. So I'm sure you'll all be learning more of what I know about the bike as I start to ask dumb questions about the stuff I don't know.
But I've never been afraid to look dumb, I'm a journalist!

Been begging my buddy for 5 years to sell me his bike. Finally talked him out of it on Mon. 86 FXRS with a 96S&S, I'm totally in love with it.
