G'day all,
I have just joined the forum and realise I am a bit late joining this discussion, but I thought I would share a few pics of the bike,it is basically a 1986 FXRS, with wide glide conversion, but still using the original 35mm forks and standard rake. it has an aftermarket tank with fatbob style dash(the ugly dash is the only thing I dont like about the FXR's) supertrapp 2-1 exhaust, Mikuni HSR42mm carby, a home made seat, custom paint job, forward controls, National Cycles fairing, home made chin fairing, home made fork brace, and a few other little goodies.
Nice scoot...
What's it like over there ?
Everyone Biker friendly, would
like to visit one day...I want
to shoot me a buffalo.
G'day Grinder,
Thanks for the kind words, but I must say there are no buffalos here, so, if you want to shoot one you'd be in the wrong place if ya came here (although I think there may be a few up the Northern Territory, which is nowhere near here, 3 days ride away). But you would always be welcome, and yes the place is pretty much biker friendly unless your a 1%er, they are cracking down on them quite hard at the moment, because of a lot of very public wars and skirmishes that made big headlines, so they have to look like they are doing something to please the masses.
Finally got some pics of my FXRC. It has FXLR bars, FXRP floorboards, Progressive suspension (lowered 2 inches) front and rear, and Cycle Shack pipes.
I got it from the original owner, and it was bone stock with the tan seat and all. Has 32,000 miles and runs great! Better bike all around compared with my 2006 Superglide.
Color is funny on my camera, but it's original Candy Tangerine.
Here is a few pictures. The chopper is a Chopper Guys frame with an Ultima 120. The red FXR is a 1988. I'm putting on an edelbrock kit on it. Pistons, heads and carb work. It will have Hooker 2-2 step tuned drags on it also.
