Which wheels

I was just wondering which rear wheel is everybody runnin? Ive seen numerous FXRs with the solid rear wheel and was just wondering what they came off of? I have a solid rear from a sporty but I was sure it would work due to the sprocket and rotor being reversed from side to side. Maybe different off sets?

Well i don't have solids but on my 86 i am run'n a 74 rear stock mag and a 91 front sporty mag. and they worked great. Same off sets but had nothing in the rear so just bought a new bearing kit ,that gave me a new center spacer and all worked with same year bearings, no changes to anything.

I just sold the solid wheel from my FXLR on Ebay last Sunday for $130. I have Pro One custom chrome wheels on my bike now.

Solid Rear

You did not say what year your bike is, but it really does not matter.

If you want to go solid, there are a lot of fatboy wheels out there including a bunch of '00 and laters, that would give you the new sealed bearings.

Stay with '02 and earlier thogh as there was an offset built into the '03's and later to acomodate the 150 tires.

If you want to go late model you will have to change the pulley and rotors as the center hole increased by .240.

Spacing is not an issue, all you have to do is measure your bearing to swing arm and use the appropriate length spacer. I believe I used a .750 on the pulley side and .250 on the rotor side before I converted to a '00 rear brake.
