85 FXRS shock mount

Can anyone tell me whats involved in re-locating the top shock mounting position for the rear shocks on an early FXR frame.

How involved do you want to get?
If you move the top of the shocks forward there are no tapped holes in the frame for the bolts to go into. You can make threaded bung and weld it into the frame, but you'll have to cut the frame and make different fender struts or mod. the ones you have. You can buy and lower kit for the bottom of the shocks that push the bottom of the shock back about a inch, but I think you may have problems getting the bike inspected.
