89 FXRS with FLHT bags will it work???

Thinking about making my FXRS into a custom bagger, I would like to mount the FLHT bags so I can use the FBI kit on them. Has anyone tried this? I know the FXRS has some similarity to the touring bagger but don't want to waste the money if it wont work.

It'll work, it's just a matter of fabricating mounts.

I've got a set of old FLT bags with mounts I was gonna put on my FXRT, but I decided to stay stock with it.

I've also seen pictures of a beautiful black FXR with FLT bags and a RG fairing.

yeah that is the look I am going for, if you ever want to part with those bags let me know. Steve
