What would be a fair price to ask for an 82 fxrs. Tank has dent on right side. Brand new ignition plus some other parts. It does need a new starter solenoid but that is not a big deal. I had posted a picture earlier in the year in the FXRS picture sticky. It has changed a little new headlight cove, mirrors, drag bars bt I have the old stuff still. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
As a FXR and specifically FXR Shovelhead enthusiast I would say $4000-$4500 assuming it is relatively solid other than what you suggest in the post. If it is more "fixer upper" than solid, $3500.
With that said, it is worth whatever you can get someone else to pay. I bought my 83 FXRT in Very good condition with a boat load of hard to find RT extra parts for $5500 and I felt that was a little high.
