Look beside the acorn nut (directly left of the acorn nut), is that not a rubber donut sandwiched by a flat washer?

You are correct frewly, I used a rubber mount from a snowmobile engine. At idle I can see the mufflers moving with the motor. Here's a better picture of the rubber mount.

The bolt going thru the rubber mount has a locknut on it so it's able to move freely.

I just landed a set of Vance & Hines Bigshots on Ebay for $120, WOOHOO! I'm looking forward to installing them on my bike and hearing how they sound. I'll post up some pics when I get them on.

I finally got the new pipes on and they sound awesome, plus they look fantastic on my bike. They have a powerchamber connecting the pipes halfway back and the bike has a lot more torque at low RPM's. It just takes off so effortlessly now, and it seems to cruise so much better too.

I had to make a couple new brackets to mount them, and I hung them from the swingarm cover plate mounting stud with rubber in between them. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them up.
