Bali Hai Wine
Does anyone remember Italian Swiss Colony Bali Hai wine from the '60's and '70's? The only wine that didn't taste bad. If you think wine tastes good give a 3 year old a glass of coke and glass of wine and see which one he spits out. Mixed 50/50 with Sprite there was nothing like it.

Wow..
Takes me back to high school. Boone's Farm Apple was big, but being the connoiseur, I prefered Bali Hai. Pagan Pink Ripple comes to mind too.
Black Label beer, Kessler's Smooth as Silk... Yep. I remember.

If you guys drank Bali Hi and Boones Farm you probably mixed up some Purple Passion made with Pure Grain Alcohol. Those wines were high class compared to Thunderbird and MD 20/20

MD 20/20 goes great with Sprite or 7-Up.

An excellent replacement for Bali Hai, very similar , although very hard to find, is Wild Vines Frutezia SUNSHINE BLEND. Mix 50/50 with Sprite or 7up, serve cold, and you can impress your friends that don't like wine.

Used to pour Bali Hai into a punch bowl and add all kinds of fresh fruit. Drink and eat your way to Shangri La. Was good solo in a boda bag.

Boones Farm was the preferred choice when I was in school.... um I mean .... younger . Had to have a friend who was 18 and could drive across the NC border, back in 86-87 NC still hadn't changed the drinking age to 21 yet for beer and wine...

Holy micro, that school bus was orange. Your not suppose to drink so much Bali Hai that the whole school bus changes color. You could have killed those little kids. The poor things.

Add Tango to that list. We used to get it as well and drink it to get a buzz. It tasted like orange soda mixed with vodka. Not bad for a cheap buzz.

Wild Vines Frutezia SUNSHINE BLEND went the way of all good tasting wines, it's no longer made.
