Paughco Fishtails

2001 Heritage Springer....looking for a little more noise and I just gotta have fishtails Anyone have any experience with the fishtail slip on muffs from Paughco? If so, what's the verdict on the sound?

I checked with American Custom and was told they can't work their magic on my existing stock fishtails, which I just bought used from a local. Man, they are very quiet... too quiet.

Thanks in advance!!

Don't know about those, but my Samson fishy tails are not quiet.

They make a right nice rumble. Especially since the cams.

There are several choices for the FLH/Baggers but doesn't seem to be a whole lotta fishtail choices out there for dual exhaust FLS/Heritage types. I looked on Samson's site and didn't see ftail muffs with the correct mounts (on the side). Might give'm a call tomorrow see if I'm missing them. Theys iz pricey though....

Apparently the Paughco fishtails ain't real popular. No matter....

I took a hole saw to the OEM fishtails and carved out much of the inside of the pipes. 1 1/8 to one end and 1 3/8 to the other. The baffles and stuffing are still in place. Overall the insides aren't real pretty, but the outsides are still nice'n shiny and bike now sounds good like a Harley should. All it cost me was a quick trip to Harbor Freight for a long thin crowbar, which I had to slightly modify in order to git'r done.

I hope you enjoy the modification.
