Crossbacks vs Bigshots?
I've narrowed my options down to these two pipes, however...i have concern about the crossbacks, does anyone run these? And do you really notice the pipe running under your leg, it looks like they may burn it off!!
Also the OL likes to ride too once in awhile, how do the crossbacks fair on that end?
The reason i threw the Bigshots in there is i like the idea of maintaining my torque and hp throughout the rpm with the longer pipes, but what i dont like about them is they just look plain and boring.
These are going on an 09 softtail custom.

They look classic, (you can change the tips if you like)
They make nice useable power.
Get the big shots

I don't have first hand experience, but I've heard you'll have significant tq loss with the Big Shots. Consider V&H's Big Shot Staggard's or their Side Shot pipe with the power chamber, they should perform the best within the V&H lineup staying with the 2-2 theme.

Are you sure your not thinking of the short shots? The only difference between the big shot and the staggered is, well, they are staggered lol. That is unless im mistaken.

BSS's have the Power Chamber (Crossover connection between each headpipe), the Big Shot's do not have this feature.

I have them on my bike - I love them. I haven't seen them on any other bike around here and they sound great.

I'm not a fan of V&H.
Not because they're a bad pipe, but because they are boring as hell and sound very average.. Everybody and their brother has a set of Big Shots or Big Radius because they seem to be the entry level kind of instant upgrade that every dealer stocks. Probably because they offer the most profit to the dealer and a decent price to the consumer. I sold my Big Radius because they were becoming very ordinary and every bike on the block had a set .
From all of the pipes I've heard, IMHO, the best sounding pipes are either Rinehart or the Bassani two into two..

George, that's a nice looking bike from what I can see of it. Just curious if you have any numbers to back your statement of "big performance upgrade" or is it a seat-of-pants measurement?
