On a 100+ hp motor how much louder than a thunderheader are they??? Anybody dyno these pipes back to back? I will be this spring if the budget allows.

Louder??? I've had both ... I don't think the RB Pipes are any louder ... different ... but under full power, both are loud. I have the LSR with the "Turn Down" exhaust, and with the exhaust directed straight to the ground, it "Seems" a bit quieter when puttering around town(2000-2500 RPM) ... Better for sneaking into the neighborhood at night.

I have an LSR and a buddy has a thunderheader. My LSR is much quieter at idle and at low RPM. I can sit next to a LEO at a stop light and he won't even look at me. I leave my house everyday at 6am and my neighbors say they don't hear me. When I twist the throttle it's a whole different story. It gets as loud as the thunderheader does. I like it as it's stealthy when you need it to be.

Just out of curiosity ... Do you also have the "Turn Down"? I know of one other LSR in the area, and his pipe exits straight back ... seems a bit louder. It might be my imagination, but with the exhaust pointed down ... it seems to make a big difference at low RPM. Wide open is another story

I went from the thunder to a LSR slash cut on my 95 the LSR is a "deeper' sound. Going with the unscientific meathod of asking the neighbors they prefer the sound of the RB's at 0500. They prefer the "tone" of that over the Thunder which makes me think the sound is not as annoying regardless of db level.
One of the neighbers had a Fatboy with straights which was just loud

I had both the TH and the RB LSR 2-1 on the same Softail. The TH exited out the back, the RB had a 45 degree kick out to the side. I got rid of the TH because I couldn't tolerate the noise level, even with a helmet on. The RB never bothered me, even on 10 to 12 hour days. If I was going to ride for that long and not have a 3/4 helmet on, I would use ear plugs. Those were mainly for the wind noise, though. I'm planning on another RB LSR for my bagger now.

I had different cams in between, so can't compare. The RB did pull the flatest torque curve, though.
