shortshots vs bigshots

im thinking about selling my vh shortshots and getting the vh bigshots. is there a big differance in the sound..i know my shortshots have a good sound and there not as loud as some exhaust i've heard but i do like the longer look of the bigshots, so are the bigshots as loud as the shortshots. also where would be the best place to get them at a great price...thanks

I just bought a set of like new V&H Bigshots on Ebay for $200 and I love them. They have a power chamber connecting the 2 pipes where they come together and it really does work. My bike pulls a lot harder now and it sounds great, it has a deep rumble but it's not too quiet. Everyone that has heard my bike says it sounds awesome. I think the longer pipes look better on the bike too.

I looked at V&H pipes for many months until I found this set. I was so close to buying a new set a few times but I'm glad I kept looking. If I see a set I'll give you a shout.

Dave,

If you go to the V&H website and select "Contact Us" you'll find and email address for their technical department. If you send your questions(s) to them I'm sure they'll respond.

I have Big Shot Staggers on my 07 FXSTC. I am considering putting in the V&H Quiet Baffles because the pipes, in some situations, are too loud. I emailed some questions to V&H and they responded almost immediately.

When waiting for their response just remember, they are in the Pacific time zone.

Good Luck!

I have big shots on my Heritage and I am also in need of the quiet baffles.

hddave1, go for it! You will see a night and day difference in both power and sound. BigShots quality of sound is far superior. And they are not as loud from the rider's point of view since they are longer and the sound is a ways behind the ears.

The short shots look cool but they are not good perfomers and I thought they were too raspy sounding. I had a set on my dyna for a while.

I have BigShot Longs w/ the quiet baffle & they are anything but quiet. On long rides my ears are still ringing, but I do love the sound of the pipes.
