V&H Straightshot HS slip-ons

Is anyone here familiar with the slip-ons? I am wondering how loud they are and what difference fitting the so called quiet baffles makes to the volume, performance, and EFI. Thanks.

Pros:
Quiet enough to hear the radio on my ultra, does not interfere with intercom communication with my wife.
Loud enough to give me the quintessential Harley potato-potato-potato sound.
At cruising speed it's very manageable, but if you rip the throttle back, they'll bark.
Very easy and fast install
Appear to be well made, and the finish is smart and pleasing
The price was very right. (bought used)
Dropped several pounds of weight from the bike by swapping from OEM..not a big deal to most, but it's a valid concern for some.

Cons: (NOT objective...)
Not as deep and rumbly as I was looking for, (read:not as good a sound as Rush) but still so much better than stock and comparable to any high quality slip on muffler.
Full retail price is well beyond what I would be willing to pay.

Have no comment on the baffles..not used them, no experience. That said, I can cruise through any parking lot without attracting any unnecessary attention...unless I snap the throttle...

No performance references available..No pre or post testing or anything like that. Just tossed 'em on and ride. The seat dyno is responding favorably though

Good luck..

hi ashley,

if you let me know what you're riding, i'd be happy to give you a quote on the HS slip ons. the Rush slip ons are comparably priced and very popular as well.
