Stock 883 Sportster And Samson

I currently have SEII's on my bike with the baffles still installed. A 45 jet and no head work has been done to the bike. I want to get the Samson slashers for it with the torque cones. Not happy with the SE sound. Will i run into a lot of low end torque problems if no head work has been done? Will the torque cones do as good a job as the baffles in the SE's? Bike week is coming up and want to have them installed prior. Want a louder bike as here in the Orlando, FL area cars do not see you to well. I want to be heard and shake their auto glass so they will know i am around. Any help would be appreciated.

An stock 883 will never be the loudest thing on the block untill you up the displacement and compression ratio. If you want loud run straight pipes. It will be loud but run like $#!^.

The torque cones will provide some semblence of back pressure and cut down on the bluing factor but you should run baffles to realize breaking even with the SE mufflers in low end power. There are baffles available for the straight exit Samsons such as the Slashers. The Big Guns II line are available with baffles and have integral heat shields. Check out their site for details if you haven't yet.

I have Street Sweepers w/torque cones on my heavily modded 95" Twin Cam and they're loud as hell... Sweet music!
