Question Supermegs worse than SE slip-ons??

when I was surfing I found this web site
http://www.twowheeledtales.com/ourBi...scs/page02.htm

The bike is 01 wide glide with 95 inch engine, SE ignition, SE air cleaner and SE muffler. The bike is 101.4 hp and 104.6 ft lbs TQ. Supertrapp achieves only 94.5 hp and 94.6 ft lbs with 20 discs and 96.6 hp102.2 ft lbs with 26 discs. I found this interesting is it possible? I was thinking about buying Supermegs to add power to my bike.

It sure is possible to screw up like that. He just went the wrong way by adding disc and made it worst. He should have started removing disc.

Simple answer is the core only flows so much air regardless of number of disc you add. What your trying to do with the disc is tune the effective exhaust length to get exhaust velocity engine components work best with.

Do a search on Supermegs and read all the posts/threads about tuning them on this board.
