Samson Big Gun 3s - Street Sweeper - Question?

I just ordered some Samson Street Sweepers for my Dyna. They are the Big Gun 3 models. Just concerned about how loud they are.. I'm running SEII slip ons now and I'm happy with the sound. I know the Samsons will be louder, but are they ear splitting loud or similar to V&H type loud? Would appreciate info from anyone else running Street Sweepers.

Not to Loud

I have a set of BG3's and they are not ear splitting loud. I ride with my a friend who has a V&H Pro Pipe which is louder. I think the sound of the BG3's is perfect.

Jamie, please let me know how this works out for you. I think I want the BG3s for my '06 LowRider. Also, are you running a stock air filter and fuel map?

Actually I'd like to know also. I'm assuming you have a download/SERT for the current A/C and exhuast...Are you planning on changing that at all?

Update ..I got the Street Sweepers and I've had them on the bike for about a week now. I'm real happy with them. Sound is just a little louder than SEIIs, but it's a much deeper note. Fit and finish is perfect.

I'm using an se/ac with KN filter. I've got a sert and I tuned it myself. Runs great. If anyone needs a map, let me know.

Sounds great. So, you like the sound...not too loud?? Can you post some pictures?? I think these are the pipes I am going to get for my bike. Where do you buy the SERT? What if I want to keep the factory air filter?

Here is a link to a thread containing pics.

You get the sert from a HD dealer. I ordered mine from Hale's HD. Even if you want to keep the stock air filter, I would recommend having the bike tuned for the pipes.

For some reason I can't see the pics, just a red x. Yes I am a paid member. The only pic i've seen it looks like the rear pipe goes right over the dipstick. How is it on yours???

Easy access to both the engine and tranny dipsticks. Same as stock exhaust. Dunno why you're getting red x's.
