V&H slip ons vs. Fullsac on a Bagger

I have an 06 FLHT with V&H true duals, SEll slip-ons (the one piece slant tips), SE A/F and a Stage 1 download. I had all but the true duals done at delivery, and had the duals added at the 1000 mi service. I am not happy with the soind of the SEll's now. I'm wanting something a little quieter and deeper, and have narrowed my choice down to the V&H basic slip ons or the Fullsacs. Wondering if anyone has an actual comparison of the two, i.e.; which is deeper, louder etc.? Thanks for any input!

I have the V&H oval slip ons on my 04 bagger, they started out pretty quiet but after a few thousand miles they are pretty loud. I can still hear the sterio if I keep it cranked up. I have stock headpipes with a stage 1 upgrade only.

I had the same thing happen to my SEIIs after I went to the Fulsac true duals. Shame really. I loved the SEs sound. After looking around I went with the B&E recores. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT
I do like the sound. Deep and mellow yet barks pretty good when you twist it.Can't beat the 100% money back guarantee. or the price.
Try telling V&H you don't like how their pipes sound.

The Harley remap? Waist of money or so I've been told. I got mine done before I picked up the bike so I never had anything to measure it against. Still got too hot. I suggest getting a DFO. Does more then the Harley D/L as far as fuel supply goes. I just tweeked mine a little to get rid of the popping on decel.

ok i see on his other ads that he has different sound levels and the 1 and 2 style doesnt need a remap so he claims.. The price is right for modded new take offs so now i just gotta decide which sound level i want. I think the 3's are out of the question but with no remapping on the 1's and 2's i guess its decision time..

sharpetx;
i had the stage 1, a/f and SE's on my 06 RG. I then had Fullsac recores put back on. I have not had any popping on decel since I put the recore's back on. Much happier with the Fullsac's. Unless you have issue's or just want to squeeze everything you can from the motor then there is no reason to change the map. Oh, I also added his true dual conversion.

I have a EG std that I had the SE II added when I took delivery. Only a Stage I at the time. I loved them then. Since have added Stage II 95" and VH true duals and the sound increased to the point that I felt irresponsible. I removed them and added the Fullsac recores. I love the tone and sound level. I can hear my stereo at 80 MPH with half volume. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the input Guys! I think I am going to order the V&H, mainly because Fullsac has no cores at this time, and my OEM's are long gone at the stealer! I'll post the results after I install them just as an FYI?

Talking Fullsac mufflers

I keep a set of Fullsac mufflers on my dyno trailer...They sound good (deep rumble) price is right ...and they make the same power as sampson or python...
Yes I know the owner...and dynoed proto type before production...
He made a special muffler for my bagger for long trips...QUITER...lost 2 HP GAINED 3 LB TQ (V&H pro pipe) was 93 hp 100 tq now 91 HP 103 TQ
I think they are to notch...

Good Luck
