Packing your own?!

A few questions for those who pack their own baffles.
I want to find out what works, and what doesn't. Any info is appreciated.

1) Which Pipes are you running?
2) Which size motor? i.e. 88, 95, 103, etc.
3) What brand of baffle material you're using?
4) What type is it? sheets, batting, etc.?
5) How are you putting it in/on the baffle? Tight, Loose, 1/2 way down, masking tape, wire, nothing.....?
6) How long before you end up repacking the baffles?

Muffler packing has come a looong way, the high internal temperatures in an exhaust muffler could reach 1000+ degrees. Regular fiberglass insulation is not up the task of high heat or the pulse wave of regular insulation.

I use Silent Sport, a synthetic material that is swen into a pillow cartridge that simply wraps around the core ans seals with self adhesive on the pillow.

Several brand names and companies are out there that offer this material, mostly used in the off road community.
I have this in my dirt bike going on 5 years and a friend has it on his TC88 bagger with SuperTrapp slip ons for the past 3 years with no blow out or degridation.

This is a pic of the material that is sewn into the pillow, the outer flat edge of the pillow has sticky on it so all you do is wrap it around the core and you are done.

I have access to this material if anyone is interested.
