49 State on 06 Fat Boy

Hi all..
I'm new here.
I just got myself a 2006 Fat Boy & I want to change my stock mufflers. I've heard the 49 State mufflers & i simply love it. But the harley dealer told me that the 49 State mufflers will not fit onto my 2006 model bike. He said I might be stuck with the Screamin' Eagle muffler.

Is this true? Have anyone here encountered this?

Hi Elavil, congrats on your new ride! I too just bought a 06' Fboy, cobalt blue. I don't know the specifics on the 49 state, but you might want to look into getting a "full" exhaust instead of slip-ons. There are NO comparison b/t the two. I researched for a while and ended up ordering the Pro-pipe from V&H, PCIIIusb, and K&N RK-3909 air kit. I would of preferred the LSR 2-1 black hole but man, were they a pretty penny! for the price you'll pay for slip ons, its very comparable to full exhaust systems.
