Question Looking for pic Propipe low end baffle

Folks,

I bought a 'low end ' baffle from a local V&H vendor which exactly looks like the standard baffle shown on the V&H website. Does anybody have a pic or a good description of the 'low end' baffle?

Thanks from Vienna

If you mean the baffle that works best for lower end torque with smaller displacement engines (< 100 ci), I've heard that the stock baffle - what you have - is what you want. I believe the performance baffle is straight through (no plug), but most people that have dynoed that baffle with mild builds have said that it cost them torque and hp and went back to the standard baffle.

I made the mistake of running my Pro Pipe without the baffle, bike sounded like crap and had lousy gas mileage. Put the stock (low end?) baffle back in and it actually sounded fine and gas mileage was just fine after this. From what I have been hearing, dont waste your $$ on the comp. baffle unless you have a 100+ motor.

Klaus, I have a different original baffle that came with the Pro Pipe I bought in May of '04. For some reason V&H shortened the baffle (maybe cost resons?) because the original one in my old pro Pipe looks just like the one above but is about 10 inches long... (give or take). If it wasn't all wrapped up, I'd take a picture of it for you.

Anyway, I ordred a new baffle from Wallys because I thought I was going to put the PP back on after I did my new build and I wanted to use it for dyno tuning (drill it or cover holes up). The part number on the V&H box reads "V21299" and it says it's a "lowend power baffle". Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is the new stock baffle that V&H ships with the PP.

Thumbs up Great info

Thank you folks, that cleared it up. Part # is 21299 and it is about 5" long. Seems that I already had what I wanted...........
