self wrenching

I am going to install the seII slip on's i bought. i have two questions.
1) Can i remove the baffle's? and will the power commander help restore lost TQ & HP.

2) the installation instructions call for one rivet in each slip-on. is this necessary?

i have an 05 low rider EFI.

I Thank all of you for helping us "new wrenchers" out...

1. Yes, you can remove the baffles. PC won't compensate for taking out the baffles. Why not just modify the baffles for more noise if that's what you are after? Bend the diverter or drill some more holes or enlarge the existing holes.

2. The rivets are good insurance against seeing your mufflers tumbling down the road behind you in your mirrors.

yes more noise is what i am after. How do the baffles come out? Drill holes in them and replace them is a better option?

Here's one way: http://home1.gte.net/res0ak9f/harley.htm
Here's another: http://www.sportster.org/tech/exhaust-gc/baffle.gif
Search for baffle modifications, SEII modifications, SEII baffles or similar. It's been covered pretty well. Baffles come out by drilling out the rivets at the exit end of the mufflers.

Anyone have any experience as to how the second way sounds?
