roadrunr is on a distinguished road
I think you can just change the pipe's.

I am currently putting Pythin 3's on my 04 FXST and from everything I have read, as long as you don't alter the intake, your OK. Everyone will say that to get the best performance out of your new exhault system you should rejet, and that is true. I do plan on enriching it about 1 turn and adding a 88 XL needle, but thats all I plan on doing. If you go to nightrider.com and some of the other good site's you will see what some of the wrench's say, and it might not be a bad idea to talk to your mechanic, but from what I have seen, as long as you don't alter the intake, you can run louder pipe's without any problem.
