Rinehart True Duals vs. V & H Dressers??
I have an '04 HD Road King Custom and I'm about to drop the cash for my pipes. The cost for the Rinehart True duals and the Vance and Hines Dresser Duals with slip-ons is about the same price, so that's not an issue. However, the Vance and Hines just came out and I haven't seen any Dyno testings. I was wondering if anyone knew what, if any, the difference in power increase to my bike would be with either sets of these pipes.
Also, is it just me or do the Vance and Hines have a deeper growl, then the Rineharts? Does anyone think the Rineharts sound tinny?
I guess what I want to know is if you could choose between the Rineharts and the Vance and Hines, which would you choose and why?
Thanks a lot!

I've had the Rineharts for quite sometime now. Around 6K miles. I couldn't imagine a deeper growl then my Rineharts make.
I like the fit of the Rineharts and the quality of the Chrome.
I'd do them again.

Thanks for the reply and the input. I'd love to see a picture of your bike! My bike is black also and I was thinking about having ghost flames painted on it, so I'd love to see yours and see how it looks....

I have had the Rineharts on my FLHTCUI for about a month now and really like them. If deeper note is what you are after, you would be well served to check out the Hookers. They are IMHO deeper than the Rineharts, although I certainly don't think the Rineharts sound tinny.

BlackandChrome, I don't have any GOOD pic's. I'll try and take a few on Sunday and get them posted for you.
I like "Black and Chrome" too.

Rineharts
A friend of mine has a 03 E-glide with the Rineharts.. I love the clean look of the true duals..
Don't know about the V&H but I think the Rineharts sound as great as they look...
I have hooker slip ons.. Love the sound..

Gearhead99,
What kind of performance numbers are you getting? I have 03 King and planning to do Dewey's heads, 37g and 95bb with rineharts. Thanks in advance.

I had the V&H Bigshots on my Fatboy, now have an Ultra with the Rineharts. IMHO the chrome was much nicer on the V&H, actually they are not even comparable. The cost of the Rineharts demands a much better finish. With that said, I love the sound of the Rineharts!

I just installed the V&H on my 04 Flhtci and love em. Top quality chrome and great fit. I am running Bub sleepers on them and they sound and perform great. When I did the install I put Bassani HO slip-ons on and they were just too big for my bike. I lost a bit of low end power. I plan on getting the 2" baffles for them and give them a try. If they don't work out I will keep the Bubs on and sell the Bassanis on Ebay.
