SEII slip ons-more than 1 version?
I recently put a set of SEII slip ons on my 04 FXDLI. These were purchased used from someone who also had an 04, but put his stock parts back on when he sold the bike. I like the sound, but recently took a 500+ mile 1 day trip and could not hear the next day and also had some ringing in my ears (kinda' like when I had mainfloor tickets for Motley Crue). As I have a hearing impaired sister and know the pains she goes through at times, I do not want to go down this road. At a show last week, I saw several Dyna's w/ SE II slip ons. Some had a plug that appeared to rivet in the end and some did not. Mine does not. My bike and all of the others that did not have this end plug show no evidence of ever having one. They did all have a baffle bolted in with two small screws (as mine does). Are there two different types of SEII's for the Dyna's? Can I add this plug to my bike? I like the sound around town, but routinely go for 100+ mile rides and really do not want to have to wear ear plugs.
My baffles are installed. I also have pictures of the ends of my slip ons and the end of one of the bikes w/ the plug I could e-mail out if that would help
