BuB Stubbies?
Ok, as some of you might have seen in my intro on the other forum, I am new to this site and to the Harley lifestyle (metric before).
As for pipes I didn't know much about them (still don't) and the dealer sweet talked me into the SEII slip ons. Now granted they weren to expensive so I am not that upset, but considering swapping the whole exhaust for the BuB stubbies ( I Like the looks) but I don't know much about the pipes. How is the Sound and the Performance of these pipes. Are they worth me looking into or should I be a sheep and look into the V&H long shots? Any and all advice is more then welcomed in my book. Thanks in advance.

The stubbies are cool, but if you like that look, you should look at Bub's Rineharts.
Or if you want the best performance, you should look at 2 into 1's like the PROPIPE..........

I like the looks of longer pipes, and 2into1 pipes yield better performace.

How would you rate the sound and volume of the Bubs Stubbies to the V&H Pro-pipe?

I like the sound of the PP better, deeper and not as loud, and there is no comparison in the performance area!

I'm considering the Bub Stubbies for my 05 Softail standard so I too am curious as to how anyone rates their sound.

Bub Stubbies
I have Stubbies on my FXR and Rineharts on my Road Glide. Different pipes for different bikes (obviously). I thoroughly enjoy the Stubbies on the EVO.

Im thinking of putting the Bub Stubbies on my 2005 RK Classic FI. Is it worth it?? I want the bike to be loud and have a nice sound without any popping on decel. By putting these pipes on my RK, will it sound just my Heritage?? Also, i have a V&H fuel pak with no download. Should I keep the fuel pak and if so what setting would you use or get rid of the fuel pak and just get the download from harley. any feedback would be nice.

I've got the Bub stubbies on my 2002 bagger (well, it USED to be a bagger!). Wasn't much available for the FLH in a true-dual drag-pipe-sorta configuration, so the guys at Miller's in South Daytona let me play around with what they had. The Bubs fit like a glove, have the good "potato-potato" idle, and aren't real(?) loud. They also have the heat shields put on 'em just like double-walled tubing (no seams, springs, clamps), so they just look like big 'ol fat pipes. I love 'em!
I haven't pulled the baffles out (yet) because I like the sound, but I would like to see the difference. My next-door neighbor has a Big Dog with some kind of V&H pipes, and the neighbor across the street has an '04 Heritage with a Screaming Eagle big-bore kit on it......both bike are a "little" louder than mine, but the sound quality is about the same.

I have these on my 1998 fatboy and they sound nice. Just got the bike, are these a power loss?
