Vance and Hines Straight Shot Question

I have an '03 FLSTC/I (Heritage Classic) and am going to change the exhaust for more power and response as well as a better Harley sound. I talked with the dealer about the 16 gauge Sreaming Eagle exhaust as well as new air intake and remapping. While looking at the Vance and Hines web site I really like the looks of the staggered Straight Shots and the are nearly $150.00 cheaper than the Screaming Eagles.

Does anyone have these pipes, and if so what do you like and dislike about them? I considered the Longshots and Shortshots but I like the staggered look and the Longshots seem to be on every bike I see.

Thanks

I have V&H Big Shot Staggereds on my '03 Heritage. They sound, look and perform great. I bought them at http://www.directparts.com/

I just got a set of 16 guage double barrels on my Fatboy...love em. I had a set of V&H straight shots.....hated them, very tinny, and crackly sounding. 16 gauges rumble, deep...just what I was looking for.

I love the V&H short shots I have on mine. I almost bought the Screamin Eagles until I heard the V&H pipes. There is a big difference between the two sound wise...

Like Joker02 said they do have a tiny sound to them when you 1st get them. But as they break in they get that deep low rumble to them…
