ghost pipes-worth it?

I have been considering upgrading my exhaust to the Fat Cat 2 into 1, with the ghost pipe. As I think about it, I have to wonder if it will look crap from the rear. As the actual pipe creates the black exhaust look (call it seasoning) inside the pipe....the ghost pipe will alway look clean. Does anyone have any experience with this? I havent witnessed it, but figured it may be a consideration to think about. I dont take dropping $1200 lightly. Thanks

Just say no to the ghost pipe, just extra weight and cost. IMO

I'm not into prosthetic pipes, I've been running a Supertrapp Supermeg on my 06 Ultra for 6 years and not sweating the muffler on the left missing.

Mask the edges, sand scuff the insides and paint the inside of both high temp flat black.

Just say NO to ghost pipe. Seriously, i don't understand why there is even a market for these things. Let's add 20 lbs of extra weight to my bike for absolutely no benefit. There goes a good percentage of the performance gain you got from the 2in1 pipe.

I like the look of the dual pipes. I have been considering the 4" Reinharts with true duel header pipe. Kind of a toss up. The fatcat is supposed to have better performance and the sound is much nastier. Lol

Hang a cement block from the left side. It will have the same performance effect and you won't get ridiculed for the fake pipe.

You can all say what you want. My bike is still faster and better looking than yours.
