WCC Hellbent Pipes

Anybody have or know someone who has the West Coast Chopper Hell Bent pipes on a bike? Real curious as to how the bike performs and sounds...I think they look fantastic but the $1000.00 tag kinda sucks!

IMO, all show NO go !!!! As with any open pipe low end will lack torque and middle will suffer as well. They're called "drag' pipes for a reason. All out, wide open throttle drag strip performance. TC's really need a baffled exhaust to get them going.

Lightnin is an unknown quantity at this point
check out Samson pipes for something comparable in design but less expensive. www.samsonusa.com

My neighbor has the Samson Ground pounders. Look Similar to the above picture - and boy are they loud. Way louder than my Reinhart's.

I have a buddy that has them on a rigid custom. He has rode it less than 500 miles with the pipes. He hates them. He says they burn his leg up. But, the bike is pretty stout with them on. I can't see any performance issues. May have something to do with the way they are stepped.

I like those pipes.......nice on a chopper or custom but would look funny on my Fatboy If I had a 113" motor I wouldn't care about the performance loss

What about the sound of them...REAL loud, not bad? Are there baffles. Not concerned about losing a HP or two on the EVO as I have punched the baffles on my SE11's already.

my friend has a set and loves the pipes, but his pants almost caught fire/burned a few times and they are way loud. too me loud is good but thats me. coiencedentally (sp?) his engine is having problems. i am in NO way blaming the pipes but until the outcome is known it is suspect to troubleshooting.
