Never had one, so I really don't have an opinion of my own anyways. I was just being stupid..

LSR 2-1 Prostock does not have a baffle - essentially a drag pipe.
The Thunderheader has a baffle.
The Fat Cat has a baffle.

LSR 2-1 Pro Stock- Pure Race Systems! No Baffles! Sophisticated 12 Degree Merge Collector Maximizes Power Prostock
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsrprostock.htm

Don't ask us for baffles because we won't put them in there as the i.d. of the tail section is optimum as it is. These are special animals for high compression, high horsepower engines that will rip the the air like a P-51 Mustang under full boost. Some people buy the LSR 2-1 Pro Stock Pipes and fit spring-loaded swiss cheese chunks of aluminum in them trying to reduce sound levels. The Pro Stock Design is not meant to have anything in the tail section. Over 25 years ago we stopped putting in any form of removeable baffle in any of our designs for one simple reason... Putting spring loaded valve gizmos in pipes is nothing new, it was done over 30 years ago.

In the case of the LSR 2-1 Pro Stock Designs we have set the I.D. for maximum performance. There is no room for a baffle and we don't want one in there. If you are looking for a Pro Stock design with some form of baffle we offer the LSR 2-1 Pro Stock Spyder.

LSR 2-1
Softail - http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21/softail.html
Touring - http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21/flhtsleds.html
Dyna - http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21/dynafxr.html

LSR Pro Stock Spyder - baffled
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21prostock_spyder.htm

Black Hole technology traps noise but offers little restriction to exhaust flow. Spin your web of deceit and go quicker, faster, with less wear and tear on your ears and your wallet. Noise is still equated with power but we are striking a median between our silent running LSR 2-1 Black Hole systems and our pure racing, championship winning LSR 2-1 Pro Stock systems.
Hi Baggerdad,if you will roll back to post #59 in this thread you will see that I agree with you in this aspect,I even put pics of the 2 different pipes so that everyone would understand the difference between the Prostock and the Baffled LSR...
I would have loved to try the Baffled LSR but we didn't have one at the time.Like Jim said we could try one if someone wants to loan theirs out for the test.

Peace Daren

I cannot believe this thread still has a pulse.
Look, for what ever reason, people have different opinions on pipes.
2 into 1s out perform 2 into 2s period......
TH sells lots of pipes and they sound nice an perform better than stock.
Their quality is the shiiits but that doesn't seem to stop people from buying them.
RB sells a good quality and performing product.
They don't give a rat's ass what people say either because they back up their claims.
Buy whatever the Hell ya want an live with your decision.
Start some good threads like why fat guys seem to like ape hangers because it hold up their gut a little better.
Or, what rpm level gets women excited more riding on back of your HD.

lsr 2 into 1

i was very excited to read this post however very dissapointed to see that this much energy was wasted using the prostock rb in this application, -apples and oranges- the lsr 2 into 1 should have been used- i would absolutely love to see this pipe and maybe others done AGAIN! BATTLE OF THE 2 INTO ONES!!!!!

I'd also like to say WOW on behalf of the fatcat, those are serious numbers, Ive been impressed with personal results on the butt dyno- fyi d&d pipes are heavy duty- literally weighing 2x most exhaust systems.. and plus you can't beat the fact that they are made in the usa in TEXAS!... I'm also a long time user and big fan of t-headers, sound and performance, although I did have an exhaust bracket crack in half, they ended up sending me an updated one. I too have been impressed with rb quality and sound!

Great build quality and finish.

Well, even after all the tests i installed a Black Hole on my '12 RK.THis winter will probably be a mild cam crane 1-6000 or a 204 or maybe some headwork and a T-Man torqster.

How do you like the pipe? How loud is it? Does it make good power?
