Removing the catalytic converter. Remap?

Hi I am thinking of removng the catalytic converter from my 2010 Roadking classic. Will the bike run ok with the stock map? I live in Thailand and I ride with buses and trucks chugging big clouds of black smoke daiily so I dont think removing my little cat will melt the poles.

The cat is in the head pipe, it would be a major pain to remove it and you are not going to benefit in any way? It is not hurting performance on your stock motorcycle at all.

Absolutely true. If it ain't broke, don't waste the time, just ride it.

HOWEVER,

If and when you decide on some performance upgrades, then you will be ahead of the game to purchase a programmable engine management module, FIRST, so no matter what upgrades you perform, the engine can be tuned properly.

...I think it's OK if you eat it after removing......

Keep in mind that the original mapping was for the catalyst....and is already lean.....

I've got a PVC and arlen ness big sucker with monster ovals. Since i've done this mod it runs way cooler. The pipe has turned purple at the cat area. As for the penalty for removing the cat in Thailand? well thats always negotiable. Its about 10 bucks for driving without a licence, insurance and helmet. I think they will have their hands full with other problems for the next 100 years or so before they start looking at cats.

I've never seen anyone eat cats (they do eat a lot of pu$$y). There are a few cats hanging around my back yard I'd like someone to eat.

If you remove the cat from the pot, you have to say that there is no meat in it. Thailand Public Health Code 41-4343

I am sorry, I forgot whom I was talking too here.

In the auto repair world, the short version of Catalytic converter is called a cat.

So let me asked the question again, do you know what the penalty is for removing an emission control device like a catalytic converter is in your country?

No I dont know what the penalty is. I really doubt that there is a penalty. As long as it passes the yearly emission test I can get a new set of plates. What I am looking for is some feedback from someone who has done it. I would like to know if there was much difference in performance and temp? The original map is lean so removing the cat will make it leaner? I can adjust the PCV so that shouldn't be a problem.
