Big Shots Long

I currently have the Big Shots Staggered, but they are a tad loud and after a long ride my ears are ringing a bit. I was considering the Big Shots Long. Are these any quieter since the exhaust is further behind me? Anyone have any experience with them? Do I need to dyno the bike if I change the pipes (I currently have a 95 kit in an 05 fatboy)

I dont think they are any quieter, however you probably wont hear the same amount of noise since they are behind you.

I have the BS Longs w/ the quiet baffles on my 03 Fatboy (98 ci) & love the sound, but they are still loud & my ears do ring on longer trips.

I have an 05 Heritage with the Big Shots Long.definitely loud.

hey NoDoze did you install the quiet baffles yourself.I have a set but could not figure out how to get the louvered baffles out as the screw that holds them in must be covered by the heat shields.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

Yes, I installed them first thing before mounting the pipes on the bike. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, the bolt that holds them in IS under the heat shield.

I'm not sure if this would work, but it might be possible to just loosen up the heat shield & slid it forward a little bit to expose the baffle bolt.
