Scuff/Scratch on Rinehart Tip

Not sure how I did it but I have about a 1" scuff on the edge of one of my black tips.

Any suggestions on something to cover it with? All I really want to do is hide the silver that is showing. Thought about some high heat black paint but if there is another suggestion I am all ears.

Yes they do, to the tune of about $150.... NOT!

I just want to cover the scratch. Before I buy another set I will send these out to be chromed if I have too.

I'd go with the high temp paint myself, or check ebay for a deal.

You might try a black permanent marker.

I went ahead and hit it with a little black sharpie. Covers the silver but will see how it looks in the sun tomorrow.

I use a "Guardsman Touch-up Pen" for my black furniture. Real tough stuff. I think it has dye in it instead of ink. They are sold in furniture stores.

The best thing and it matches the color perfect,is a Black paint marker. You can find them at most hardware stores, just shake it up and your ready to paint over that sctratch,I have done it many times...

I think the heat is what does it, some sooner than others. Strange phenomenon.

Not bad if you have the right color bike to match. LOL
